Hi`ialakai Plan of the Day 10/05

PLAN OF THE DAY
NOAA SHIP HI'IALAKAI (R334)
Cruise HI-04-01
Date: Oct 5, 2004 (Tuesday)
0000 Begin transiting to Kure Atoll 
0730 Launch site near 28/24.25 N and 178/22.98 W (order
    of launch) 
* HI-3 - Tow team will conduct tows in the lagoon 
* HI-1 - REA Team will visit sites R33, 2, and R36 
* HI-2 - Mooring Team will recover and deploy a CREWS
         buoy w/anchor and a STR 
* HI-5 - Educational/Outreach will do day ops on the
         island with David and Susan 
0800 Danny and Stephani will take HI-5 away from ship
     while HI-2 is outfitted with the CREWS buoy and
     anchor. HI-2 will then pick-up Danny from HI-5.
     Stephani will bring HI-5 back alongside ship.
     Gaetano, Susan, and David climb aboard and get
     underway for island.
1230 HI-3 - Alongside ship to change out tanks and
     gear.  Dan Suthers aboard for remainder of day 
1600 Stagger the recovery of all boats near the launch
     site.  HI-5 should be back at 1600, followed by
     HI-1 at 1620, then HI-2 at 1630, and HI-3 at
     1640.  
(Refer to Night Ops sheet for locations)
1800 - 2400 Conduct TOAD camera tows at stations around
     Kure Atoll.
Evening movies: (Both will start at 1730 and again at
2000.)
