Hi`ialakai Plan of the Day

PLAN OF THE DAY
NOAA SHIP HI'IALAKAI (R334)
Cruise HI-04-01
Date: Sept 30, 2004 (Thursday) 
0000 - 0600 Conduct camera tows and CTD's per Night
            Operations sheet 
0730	Launch site near 27/55.1 N and 175/55.1 W
        (order of launch)
* HI-3 - Tow team operations around the leeward area of
         the reef 
* HI-5 - Fish Team
* HI-2 - Mooring Team. One STR and then CTD's
* HI-1 - REA work at sites R22, 23, and R44
[Note: morning operations aborted at about 1000 due to
heavy thunderstorm engulfing all launches.] 
1230 Ship meets HI-3 near launch site to change out
     equipment. 
1300 HI-2 alongside.  Mooring team gets off and
     Education/Outreach climbs aboard. 
1600 Stagger the recovery of boats near the launch
     site.  HI-5 returns at 1615, followed by HI-2 at
     1630, then HI-1 at 1635, and HI-3 at 1640.  Thanks
     to all boats for being back on time! 
(refer to Night Ops sheet for locations)
1800 - 2230 Conduct TOAD camera tows at stations
            around Pearl and Hermes. 
2230 Begin transit to Midway Islands. 
Movies for this evening: (Both will start at 1730 and
again at 2000.)
