Hi`ialakai Plan of the Day

PLAN OF THE DAY
NOAA SHIP HI'IALAKAI (R334)
Date: Sept 19, 2004 (Sunday) 
0730 - Launch HI-3 (19' Safe Boat) for tow boarding,
HI-1 (10m) for REA work, and HI-2 (8m) for moorings
near 23/45.0 N and as close to inside eastern edge of
atoll as comfortable.  This list reflects the order of
launching.
REA Team - Will visit sites 34, 12, and R29
Mooring Team - Will meet personnel from U.S. Fish and
Wildlife near Tern Island by 0830.  After morning ops,
the team will head south following the outside edge of
the atoll along the east side-weather permitting!!
TOW Team - Heads south and works on the back southern
side of the atoll in AM.  Ship meets HI-3 for equipment
swap near 23/37.0 N and 166/10.0 W.  If possible, take
on fuel during equipment swap to allow for a later
recovery time in the afternoon.
1630 - Stagger the recovery of boats near 23/41.0 N and
166/15.0 W.  HI-2 should be back at 1630, followed by HI-1 
at 1635, and HI-3 at 1640. 
1800 - Begin transit to Gardner Pinnacles to arrive in
early AM.
Night Ops. - None.
Department Heads please hand in your T&A; for pay period

VISA purchase logs are due to the XO for purchases made
9/3 to 9/13
We have not had to ration water on this trip despite
working close in to the reefs with a full complement.
Thanks to the Engineering Dept. for proactively seeking
out and installing a reverse osmosis water maker.  Way
to go, guys!!  Thanks to all aboard for conserving
water.  :)
