Hi`ialakai Plan of the Day 10/14

PLAN OF THE DAY
NOAA SHIP HI'IALAKAI (R334)
Cruise HI-04-01
Date: Oct 14, 2004 (Thursday)
0000 Arrive at Mokumanamana (Necker Island) 
* Conduct camera tows per Night Operations sheet
[NOTE: Plans were aborted due to weather. -- D.S.] 
0730 Launch site near 23/33.8 N and 164/41.4 W (order
of launch) 
* HI-3 - Tow team will conduct tows on all four sides
  of Island 
* HI-1 - REA Team will visit sites 2, 4, and R6 
* HI-2 - Mooring Team will recover/deploy an ODP and
  SST 
1200 HI-2 alongside ship to drop off Holzworth
1230 Launch HI-5 - Educational/Outreach Team with
     Holzworth, Middleton, and Suthers    
1500 Stagger the recovery of all boats near the launch
     site.  HI-5 should be back at 1500, followed by
     HI-1 at 1515, then HI-2 at 1525, and HI-3 at 1535.
1600 Underway for Nihoa (approximately 160 nm)
Please be sure to return the following by Saturday,
10/15, 
* DVD's you may have signed out from the ship's store 
* 8mm tapes borrowed from the ship's office
