PLAN OF THE DAY
NOAA SHIP HI'IALAKAI (R334)
Cruise HI-04-01
Date: Oct 7, 2004 (Thursday)
0000 - 0600 Conduct camera tows and CTD's per Night
      Operations sheet 
0730 Launch site near 28/24.25 N and 178/22.98 W (order
     of launch) 
     HI-3 - Tow team will conduct tows along the
            northwest side of the atoll 
     HI-1 - REA Team will visit sites 18, 17, and
            14. Suthers will snorkel at site 18 then
            get picked up by HI-5. 
     HI-2 - Mooring Team will recover two STRs: one in 
            the northwest and one in the northeast area
            of the lagoon.  Conduct CTD casts at the
            mouth of the channel afterwards.
     HI-5 - Educational/Outreach team (Holzworth and
            Middleton) will dive at the south end of
            the channel. After the dive, they will
            rendezvous with HI-1 at site 18 to pick up
            Suthers. 
1130 HI-5 alongside ship to pick-up Liitschwager.  HI-5
     will also pick-up and shuttle authorized ship
     personnel for snorkeling.
1230 Ship meets HI-3 near 28/23.4 N and 178 22.3 W to
     change out tanks and gear. 
1600 Stagger the recovery of all boats near 28/24.25 N
     and 178/22.98 W.  HI-5 should be back at 1600,
     followed by HI-1 at 1620, then HI-2 at 1630, and
     HI-3 at 1640.

1800 - 2400 Conduct TOAD camera tows at stations around
            Kure Atoll.
Evening movies: (Both will start at 1730 and again at
2000.)
