Audio Visual Technical Details PowerPoint is the preferred presentation format. All presenters are requested to bring their PowerPoint presentations on CD-R or DVD. Symposium RegistrationAll presenters will be required to register for the conference. Day registration is also available. See REGISTRATION for details. Publication of the Symposium ProceedingsAll manuscripts from the Symposium will be published in the Atoll Research Bulletin Scientific Journal, subject to a full peer-review process. Fully Registered participants will receive a copy of the special issue following its publication. The Journal editors will guide the publication process. Authors submitting manuscripts for the proceedings should provide one hardcopy as well as an electronic version(a text file including references, tables and figure captions preferably in MS Word; figures in a separate file, preferably Excel or pdf; CD-R, DVD) to the Symposium Secretariat upon arrival to the Symposium. Because of a strict page limit for the proceedings - and to ensure a broad coverage of the topics -, the main text of a manuscript must not exceed 4000 words or approximately 15 pages double-spaced(Introduction through acknowledgements; excluding abstract, references, tables, figures), while two or three printed pages are available for figures and tables. Layout must closely follow the Atoll Research Bulletin Guide for Authors. In addition note that, because graphs are re-lettered by Elsevier to enhance uniformity, it is most appreciated if two sets of figures are provided, one with labeling and one without labeling. Because it is intended to publish the proceedings soon after the Symposium, it is of utmost importance to speed up the peer-review process. Therefore, contributing authors may be requested to review one or two of the other papers presented at the Symposium. Printed Abstracts At the time of the Symposium a Program & Abstract book will be produced for all participants. The submitted abstract for all accepted papers will be included in this document. All presenters will be given the opportunity to send an updated and expanded abstract to replace the original 300 word text-only abstract submitted. The updated abstract will be required in MS Word in PC format. Copyright PermissionIt is essential that copyright permission is obtained for any material used in your abstract and/or presentation (including data, tables and figures). You must also acknowledge the source of the information in an appropriate manner. Abstract submission is now closed.
